Heyhey Frode,
something which bothers me for a long time (or maybe I don’t get it 😉 – in the game db editor – could you please place a link or an icon next to the screen thumbs to enlarge them to the uploaded size? Again and again I klick on certain thumbs to see the images (or control them) but of course I just get the uploading layer… 🙂 Something like a little magnifier or sth else… perhaps. Not really necsessary but comfortable 🙂
Thats it! 😉
Thx again and – perfect work!!
Greetz,
Thomas
Hi, you can click on the SHA-1 checksums in the key-value list to directly open the original file in your browser. For example click on the hexademival value next to “screen_sha1”.
hehe, yes I know – and thats good… but I always click on the thumbnail because I forget its original use – well, you always click on thumbs to enlarge in the whole internet 😉 ok, as I said before, its not that important 🙂
Hi, is there a chance to handle the titles which have a boot disk aka disk0 been numbered as such ? it helps quite a bit with the disk changing especially for the not so much experienced amiga user.
also even when tosec ignores the old scene disk numbering for such games does not mean we have to do it also 🙂
The title that made me write this was heimdall. but there is quite some more especially in the team17 list
We’re on it 😉
@thevoice: Please leave a comment where disk 0 is needed.
done for those i tested, up to kgb so far. will go on next weekend.
Hi, it is indeed possible to rename the floppies in the database, when needed. I have fixed the Heimdall variants 🙂
question:
if a game support just one disk drive and the launcher is setup to use 2 or more drives, we change drives to 1 or just let it like it is ?
We set drives to one in that case. Or if the game has more than two disks, but only supports two drives to two etc.
The “Trashcan” is visible in the launcher. Is that intentional?
That happens when you have one of the variants that are in it. It’s a workaround for now (beta phase) anyway and will be gone soon, but I guess it’s time to bring the trashes out 😉
@Frode: Just a little thing. Could you please edit the database view of CD32 game covers to show in square?
Not only CD32 covers. Some normal A500+A1200 games had rectangle shaped boxes. Covers shouldn’t resized at all during the upload+auto-minimizing.
Some WHDLoad updates or new games. Leaderboard isn’t that important since it’s only a readme file update. 😉

hi, i found out i can set the version of whdload executeable somewhere in fs-uae.
using the setting in configuration/global settings i end with this :
x_whdload_version is ignored here (use config dialog instead)
x_whdload_version = 2013-03-01
could someone be so kind and tell me where exactly in the launcher i can set the whdload executeable ?
Works with 2.1.32dev with ‘Main Menu -> Custom Configuration -> Custom Options’.
Hmm, in pre 2.1.32dev it probably worked to set the option globally, but in order to support per-game whdload version for the game database, the option were made into a “per-configuration” option. Configuration options which are synchronized during net play cannot (currently) be set globally.
Hello.
I was thinking about making a little wishing list of games that would be nice to add…so here it is. 🙂
Altered Beast
The Amazing Spiderman
Aunt Arctic Adventure
Axel’s Magic Hammer
Baby Jo “Going Home”
Beach Volley
Beavers
Bill’s Tomato Game
Bubble Dizzy
CaveMania
Cloud Kingdoms
Cyberpunks
Demon Blue
Dojo Dan
Donk!
Doodlebug
Fury Of The Furries
Kid Gloves II: The Journey Back
Kwik Snax
Manix
Thank You very much. 😉

hi,
regarding alien breed (and several others mainly psygnosos titles) we load the skid row disk version starting with disk1 (the intro).
this makes the trained version unaccessible since it sits on the bootable disk 2.
is there a chance we can have an additional variant listed which ignores the intro disk and boots of the maindisk to have the trained version listed aswell ?
You can change the disks in FS-UAE. I know, it’s only a workaround, but it works.
He means that many variants like ‘Alien Breed v1.3 (1991-10-14)(Team 17)(Disk 2 of 3)(Game Disk 1)[cr SR][t +11 LGD][bootable]’ for example aren’t even listed because the variants are always created from disk 1. Let’s say that things like that are being worked on 🙂
I thought he meant that the floppy disk order is wrong.
Just read your “Open Amiga Game Database” mail, Frode. I will surely test some games for you. But you should keep in mind that any WHDLoad game could break in new (even in new full versions) WHDLoad versions which Wepl releases. This could lead to confusion with your rating system later. Though it should work fine for any other game variants.
This is a good point. Since the Launcher can download the current version even when new stable versions are released, perhaps best to “lock” the variant against a specific WHDLoad version (so it’ll not automatically use a newer WHDLoad version unless some tests/verifies and updates whdload version in the database for that variant).
