@frode Hi! You're right, I'm going too far for this one, this is Virtual Bart, not The Simpsons : Virtual Bart. I've to focus on "search term" for those cases. Thanks for watching!
@jyanncorp I reverted the sort key for this game. Remember that when people look for "Virtual Bart", they will try to look at games starting with V (together with other "virtual" games), so if sort key starts with "simpson", the game is placed somewhere else (and unexpected for most user). But search terms can be used to add additional words the user can search for. I added "simpson" and "simpsons", so the game will now show up if you search for bart simpon
@frode Yes, sorry for US title for this game, this is the US name for arcade version, no for the SNES that never out outside Japan.
For ROMs I can try them one by one (it can be looong for some RPGs), but I don't know how to present, provide SH1 or size. I can privileged BPS patch files instead of IPS for sure compatibility with medafen. (more recent patchs instead of 20years old patch releases) I can find or produce specific covers for English or other languages translates.
@jyanncorp Hmm, I don't see Mutant Fighter in the No-Intro DAT for SNES. I checked Nintendo - Super Nintendo Entertainment System (Combined) (20200522-055802).dat.
I am positive to including patched versions in the database, but I think only for cases where there is a known good version as @thevoice says.
In order words, if someone can point to a patched ROM for a game and say "this works great", I think it will be useful to include it!

@jyanncorp as i dont have a clue what these titles are i think its best you deceide how to name them
@jyanncorp yes, these are old/renamed variants from older no intro imports.
@thevoice I see a lot of identical variants in some games. This is a different ROM? An old import ?
@frode Hi! I don't known exactly how its work but can you run your re-parenting script? I do a lot of regroup and modifications for SNES section, that can help me to see more clearer. Thanks!
@thevoice, Hi! What you think the best for naming magazines ?
(BS-X) Cheap de Gorgeous (MAG) or (BS-X MAG) Cheap de Gorgeous
Bring all together or scatter
@thevoice Ok, cool. I will wait to continue, thanks!
@jyanncorp this one seem to be a renamed title or something. i have merged it into the correct title now. and it should disappear once @frode runs his reparenting script.
@thevoice hi! How the empty entry are deleted? Like here? It's show "delete" in disable commentary, how delete it completely? (That can help me to see more clearer for completing missing entries) Thanks for your work!
@jyanncorp for now we kept titles with more then 1 game in as seperate titles. in this case you may want to talk to @frode. if he thinks this title can be merged into the parent set, he or i will do it ofcourse.
@thevoice I tried the rom, this is only the 1-1 level from SMB Lost Level to do in speed-run, no menu, direct start and the game freeze when you finish the stage. I don't understand why different segments of the PowerFest cartridge get divides. But this rom is not a compilation by herself. (I don't know if I'm clear)
@jyanncorp this one is a compilation so i cant merge it into powerfest

@ jyanncorp youi are right about this. gentaiban usually means "special edition" this version seem to be just a re release with no major changes. i let this decision to @frode since i can't create entries anyway.
@thevoice This one can be merged with : http://openretro.org/game/04e42170-5f3d-4dab-bf1f-74a90a16c40f/edit This is the same in a gold cartridge for a prize.
@thevoice Hi ! I think this variant, Super Tetris 2 + Bombliss Genteiba, can have a separate release. the game is out 2 years later https://www.mobygames.com/game/snes/super-tetris-2-bombliss-genteiban

@jyanncorp moved it back to ranm. but since the ranma entry is now merged into street combat, ranma wont show up anymore since i cant move the merged enty back.
@thevoice hi, you dont like for "Natsume Championship Wrestling"? Keep the two separate entry? The US game have nothing to do with the original Japanese. (i'm boring, sorry)
@thevoice The back-cover is incorrect, sorry.
@thevoice This is the japanese variant of : http://openretro.org/snes/nba-give-n-go/edit
@jyanncorp hi, yes we keep these 2 seperated because both of them have their own entry on the relevant sites (moby etc.) so frode deceided to have 2 entries.
@thevoice This is a conversion of the Japanese game "Zen-Nihon Pro Wres' - Sekai Saikyou Tag" but with fictional wrestler. Dis you keep both separated?
@thevoice Hi! No problemo.
@jyanncorp hi, can you set the publish = 1 by yourseflf if you think you are done with an entry? i dont want to mess too much with the way you add things.

@thevoice This this the Japanese variant of : http://openretro.org/snes/kirbys-dream-course/edit
@jyanncorp hi, technically you are correct. but both games are managers for differnet leagues. so we deceided to keep them seperate. you will find more of these cases especially for psx.

PROBLEM: the game corrupts the graphics after a few seconds in a battle. tested with mednafen 1.24.3.
@jyanncorp got you now. the fifa 97 euro was a new entry, maybe no-intro redumed it and i forgot to proper merge it in back then. fixed it now
@jyanncorp this one has the usa release as parent. i may have prefered football over soccer so euro over usa relaease. i can't remember anymore. i think i added snes back in 2015 or so . after tg16 i think i gonna start sorting snes with a current datfile and see. problem is the database worked quite different back then. so all platforms minus psx, pgcd and tg16 need to be adapted to the system openretro uses now.
@thevoice There two entry for this one. You privileged European releases for the FIFAs? the soccer is not very popular in America.
@ jyanncorp and yes .dat files are coming. tgcd i will process the new non unplayble japanese titles now. turbogrfx is also updated. and after this the rest will also get elevated to may 2020. tho psx is already done up to may 2020.
@jyanncorp this decision can be made only by frode. it is his project. well the main problem with translation .ips patches is: they were usually made 20 years ago, with random roms. so if you can make SURE the patch let you play from start to end without any crashes and stuff with actual roms from no-intro and now some roms uploaded to the internet by some random joe, i would be fully support your request. but the testing will take forever i guess.
@thevoice Hi! yes I see variants coming. By the way, The DAT list translate roms, you thinks its possible to add translated variant for these? A lot of RPG or adventure game get fully translated , it can be a nice add.
@thevoice This is the Korean variant of "Dragon Ball Z - Ultime Menace" http://openretro.org/game/7b545176-054e-46bb-a565-e3f604386e8c/edit
@thevoice This is the Japanese version of "Liberty or Death" http://openretro.org/snes/liberty-or-death/edit
@jyanncorp do't worry, i am in the process to update psx to may 2020 at the moment. after that all the other .dat files get updated to may 2020 aswell. so its just a matter of a week or so until you get loaded with "work"
@thevoice This is the Japanese version of : http://openretro.org/snes/beauty-and-the-beast/edit
@thevoice This is the same game than Angelique http://openretro.org/game/8993e35c-9b58-4de2-9b32-ec306ec0fbe2 with CD support for audio speech (a strange accessory act as a IR remote control for Cd player to put on the joy pad port) Can you merged it?
@thevoice I'm sorry but I'm dumb about Game/Variants/Merged Game Entries. :/ You can reactive Super Alfred Chicken ? and merged European release to it?
@jyanncorp hi, if you add players(s) infirmation to games can you please add it like this for example: 1 - 2 (1). you always add it like 1-2 (2) with the missing spaces before and after -. so i always have to reject your entry and put it in again .
screenshots re done with mednafen 1.23.0. to get rid of the graphical corruption on top of cockpit view.
@TITUSXD : unfortunately we only talk english here. also some "random" website titles are not supported. the launcher supports no-intro for this console.

the game uses a weird interlaced mode. that is why the screens look a bit meh
TODO: @frode. can this one merged into another world instead to out of this world ? i think another world is the way more common name for the title.
TODO: @frode yu may want to consider to re-enable this game as it seems to be complete.
TOD: @frode you may want to consider to re-enable this one again as it seems to be complete.
TODO: @frode the national code for korean language (kr) isnt accepted.
japanese release of parodius. might aswell be merged to parodius entry.
this is the japanese release of ninja gaiden trilogy. they might be merged aswell.
this is the japanese release of rocky rodent. could be aswell merged together
TODO: @frode you may want to consider to re-enable this one again.
TODO: @frode you may want to consider to re-enable this one.
A bit hard to make good screens here since the game is just crawl around and make your way to the exit. For the first mission for example the goal is to just kick a computer Just watch the longplay to get a clue what about the game is
Maybe it's a good idea to either merge this one with the Japanese version or simply disable it.
The hyper version and golden fighter are pretty much the same games, while the hyper version play a lot smoother.
You may want to consider to enable this game again since it is finished. it just never got released.
Screens may look a bit the same but the bombs seen scroll into the screen from any side. Just watch the longplay
before each boss fight is a short vconvo in japanese. but since its a beatemup i assume the story isn't mandatory
Story mode may require a bit figuring out the different buildings inside the town, but once you get it its easy to use. The versus mode is a straight beatemup.
the game is mostly in english language. just the track description is in japanese.
sweet a multi platform bug
Looks like the SNES has also been the victim of a game with the "halfcolor bug"
screens 3-5 actually show the attack after the move which is shown on screen 2 xD. i wasnt sure to crop away the huge borders or let the screens as they are. so if you dont like them this way i can crop them .
Fixed game info (year, publisher, MobyGames URL) to reflect that his is actually Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals. According to Wikipedia, the PAL publisher was Nintendo.
FAQ: The European version is called simply Lufia.
Variant moved to the other one, and this game entry is disabled as "Duplicate".
@frode this on can be disabled i think as the game requires the snes mouse.
@frode i think this one can be disabled as it depends on the snes mouse.
Both gunforce are the very same titles just no intro named them different.
