The end result (without specifying chip_memory = 2048 in the WHDLoad variant) would then be an A1200 with only 1MB chip, since chip_memory = 1024 would be inherited from the main entry. This is not a bug. Anyway, perhaps A1200 should be default model for all variants as the game will be smoother and faster then. Note: the t +1 CMX version must then explicitly use A500, since the trainer intro does not work on newer Amigas.
Hi Frode. As you have remove the chip memory setting globally, ONLY the WHDLoad version 1.1 works with HiRes. There are in every floppy variant the ability for HiRes. So I set back chip memory to 1024 and set specially chip memory to 2048 to the A1200 settings. Why the global setting of chip memory lowers the A1200 setting? I thought the variant setting will override the global setting?! Just a bug??
I set A1200 for the 1.1 (HiRes) version so it won't be so slow. Also set fast_memory to 1024 (must be a multiple of 1024 so 512 did not work). I removed chip_memory = 1024. This had the side-effect of lowering chip_memory to 1024 for the A1200 / WHDLoad version (could of course explicitly specify chip_memory = 2048 for the WHDLoad version).
removed the global 1024kb chip memory. this will prevent the a1200 whdload slaves to have only 1mb chip mem instead of 2mb.
Existing screenshots were wrong (missing pixel rows/columns, probably scaled with a neareast filter) and are removed.
@frode ipf works now, but we kinda miss the game&construction kit whdload variant
@thevoice that shouldn't be necessary i think, I have now (after your comment) fixed the floppy order so it boots from the low-res disk
IPF versions require [WB]

TODO: Perhaps implement support for something like chip_memory = 1024+ (will only increase chip memory to this size if needed, never lower it).

Have set "CUSTOM2=1" to play the WHDLoad version 1.1 in HiRes. This key only works in version 1.1
As seen on the cover, the HighRes version also requires 512KB Fast RAM. I've set it globally
HiRes version needs 1MB chip memory to work, so I've set it globally for this game.
TODO: Disk order for IPF versions must be fixed. LoRes Disk is disk 1 and must be in DF0:, because HiRes Disk have also a bootblock.
@Frode: What, if we have more then one publisher?! Should we set all in this kind: "Ocean, Maxis"?
