A Famicom platformer published by Takara and based on their toy doll Jenny, the Japanese version of Barbie.
Lost Word of Jenny is an adventure platformer game in which Jenny, a fashion doll toy in real-life, explores a world full of fantastical elements while fending off various enemies human and otherwise with her punches and kicks. Jenny can move between each world on an overworld map that looks like a city high street, but can only enter the worlds in the right order, the first being a pirate ship on the far right.
Jenny is a product that Takara began making after they lost the license to create Barbie toys in Japan. They simply renamed and repackaged those they were already producing as "Jenny" toys instead. As such, Jenny can be thought of as Barbie's Japanese cousin.
Much like the Barbie games of the West, Lost Word of Jenny is a poorly made and universally maligned cheaply-produced tie-in game. This comes as no surprise, as Takara's previous game had been the infamous Transformers: Convoy no Nazo, also based on a toyline of theirs.
