Power Lode Runner Super Nintendo

Power Lode Runner was released at the start of 1999. The game was released as a Nintendo Power product, meaning it could be downloaded to a special RAM cartridge used exclusively for NP releases.

The player controls a blue cat-like creature named Muguru-kun who explores an island collecting treasure in the standard Lode Runner fashion. Rather than robots, the game's antagonists are tenacious monkeys who are also attracted to the gold on each stage, and Muguru-kun must figure out how to elude and defeat them to recover their gold.
