Frode will probably build in a "forced A1200" global config to set this for experienced user. But yes, an A1200 is always prefed for every WHDLoad game. Frode said he use the default A600 for performance reasons.
to be honest most if not all whdload slaves are made on accelerated amigas without even thinking about poor people with real a600 and 4mb of ram. i would actually vote to generic set whdloads to a1200 with enough fastram. but frode had doubts because of the higher host cpu load to emulate an 68020.

The 'ADF, PAL, M5, cr CSL, h LSD, Return of the Witch Lord' variant should be moved to HeroQuest: Return of the Witch Lord. It actuallya one disked version of ROTWL which includes the necessary files from the main game

In general the 'least necessary' strategy is good. You can always upgrade if there are issues.

"- 164 (!) Blitter waits added"
Set the WHDLoad versions to A1200. Since you can't disable the blitter waits yet.
Thanks, moved
