Adventure Island 3 Nintendo
The third game in the Adventure Island series to be released on NES. The plot concerns aliens taking over Master Higgins's island paradise home, kidnapping his girlfriend Tina in the process.
Adventure Island III (JP: "Takahashi Meijin no Bouken Jima III") is the sixth Adventure Island game, though the third in the core series. Master Higgins has to retake his island home from a force of invading aliens. The game adds more weapons and dinosaur companions to help Master Higgins out, along with his trademark skateboard. Inquisitive players can also find secret rooms which provide various benefits, such as letting the player skip the next boss.
The game was also released on Game Boy. Because the first game was never released on the Game Boy platform, the game based on Adventure Island II was simply named Adventure Island. Similarly, the Game Boy version of this game is known as Adventure Island II: Aliens in Paradise. The Game Boy version adds a password system and an overworld map, which lets the player revisit completed levels to find alternate exits.
