        Winning Post (Winning Post 2: Program '96 in Japan) is the first game in the Winning Post series to be released in North America. It is a horse racing simulation game where players take a horse through the various processes of training and engage in races. In Japan, the game was released for the Saturn, Playstation, and Super Famicom (Super Nintendo). In North America only the Saturn version was released. The game is actually an enhanced remake of Winning Post 2 which includes the updated horseracing race details for the 1996 season.
