New 3D Golf Simulation - Harukanaru Augusta Super Nintendo

The first in a series of golf simulation games by Japanese studio T&E Soft, taking place at the Augusta National Golf Club in the southeastern United States. It is one of the earliest examples of a golf game that recreates a real-life golf course.

New 3D Golf Simulation: Harukanaru Augusta is a behind-the-back golf simulation game developed and published by T&E Soft for the PC-98 exclusively in Japan on October 1989. A spiritual sequel to their 1983 game 3-D Golf Simulation, Harukanaru Augusta is an in-depth golf simulator that takes place at the Augusta National Golf Club in the southeastern American state of Georgia. It is the earliest game to feature digitized actors (both for portraits and the player character) and an accurate recreation of a real-life golf course. Along with numerous sequels to the New 3D Golf Simulation series (each with different courses, both licensed and fictional), the game itself received two sequels in Japan (Masters: Harukanaru Augusta 2 and Masters: Harukanaru Augusta 3) and ports in Japan to both computers (the FM Towns in 1990 and the X68000 in 1991) and consoles (the Super Famicom on April 5, 1991 and the Sega Mega Drive on December 17, 1993).
