4 Nin Uchi Mahjong ("Four Player Strike Mahjong") was developed by Hudson and published by Nintendo on November 2nd, 1984. It was the third game developed by Hudson for the Nintendo Famicom and the second Mahjong game ever made for any Nintendo platform.

Although extremely basic on a hardware level (using a single 16kilobyte PROM and 8kilobyte CHROM), the game allowed players to compete against 3 A.I. opponents instead of 1. The game also popularised the use of the "Ready Hand" variation of the game, which has since become the most widely accepted version amongst Japanese gamers.
