Taking charge of German or British forces you must plan your attacks on the enemy with precision. Supplies, flanking forces, artillery support and back-up must all be considered. The desert is a wide open area that has little cover. Your attacks must utilise the natural defences as much as possible. The enemy is your biggest foe, but remember, the terrain isn’t your friend.

The gameplay for Afrika Korps is very similar to the other games of this genre and breaks little new ground. Graphics and sound are adequate but again nothing new has been done. Strategy fans should find the game appealing but we are getting a little tired of seeing the same old thing.
