Ranma 1/2 Ougi Jaanken ("Ranma 1/2 Secret Evil Dark Fist", though "Jaanken" is a pun on "janken", the Japanese name for the rock-scissors-paper game) is a puzzle game for the Super Famicom and the fifth and final game to be based on the Ranma 1/2 license for that console. The game is a block-stacker similar to Puyo Puyo or Tetris Attack, where the optimal route to win is to set up huge chains and then beleaguer the opponent with "trash" tiles, while clearing away the ones sent back to the player's side. The gameplay has a rock-paper-scissors theme in which a "rock" tile, when stacked on top of a "scissors" tile, will cause the scissors tile to vanish. Likewise for scissor tiles over paper tiles, and paper tiles over rock tiles. By stacking a huge number of identical tiles together, the player can remove them all with one drop and send a lot of trash to their opponent. Each character has their own special attacks which can be used whenever the player completes a huge chain. They can also cause their opponent to become weaker by splashing them with water, which triggers their cursed transformations and slows them down for a while.
