Lady Stalker: Kako kara no Chousen ("Lady Stalker: Challenge from the Past"), or Lady Stalker: The Apocalypse Engine as its in-game subtitle states, is an action RPG with a distinctive isometric view. It is the sequel to the Genesis game Landstalker: The Treasures of King Nole, though is far more like an RPG compared to Landstalker's action-adventure format: Lady cannot jump, for one, so the platforming is limited, and enemies are fought in the traditional JRPG style of surprise random encounters while walking around.

Lady is a female adventurer who frequently skips out on her aristocratic family to seek danger and have fun. She is often pursued by her family's servants Yoshio, the gardener, and Cox, the chef. In this game, Lady is seeking a way to plunder the ominous Deathland Island of its riches.

Lady Stalker saw a spiritual sequel of sorts with a 2006 mobile game of the same name. The protagonist, Lady, also appeared in the crossover Dreamcast RPG Time Stalkers along with Nigel of Landstalker and Pyra of Shining in the Darkness.
