Nobunaga no Yabou: Sengoku Gunyuuden ("Nobunaga's Ambition: Tales of the Sengoku Warlords"), or simply Nobunaga's Ambition II outside of Japan, is a Koei war simulator set in Japan's Sengoku era and the sequel to Nobunaga's Ambition. It is actually the third game in the series: it was only given the numeral "II" because it was the second game to be released outside of Japan. Subsequent sequels would drop the numbering system entirely, removing the confusion.

As with the first Nobunaga's Ambition, the goal of the game is to conquer Japan through warfare, superior infrastructure, espionage, and diplomacy. Anywhere between zero and four players can take part ("zero" lets the computer control all sides). One new element introduced to the series with this game was having individually named generals that the player could command: a feature borrowed from Koei's own Romance of the Three Kingdoms franchise.
