Pocket Zaurus: Juuouken no Nazo ("Pocket Zaurus: Mystery of the Sword of the Ten Kings of Hell") is an action game with platforming elements. It is based on the Pocket Zaurus toyline from Bandai, which combined dinosaurs with high-tech gadgets.

The game spans six stages all from different eras ranging from the dinosaur era to the distant future. During a stage the game will occasionally pause in order to give the player a quiz question, if answered correctly the player will gain points which are added to their overall score. The subject of the quiz questions are related to the game itself as well as the different eras featured in the game. The games protagonist uses a boomerang to defeat enemies and can equip armor by collecting the super shield power-up. When armored, he is able to throw three boomerangs at once and at a much faster pace than he could without armor making it easier to hit enemies.
