Namco Classic is a golf game released only in Japan for the Nintendo Famicom and Game Boy
Namco Classic takes the then-standard golf game template and stays the course, changing very little to the formula. It has the usual behind-the-back view of the player's golfer, the power meter that must be hit twice - once at the zenith of the swing and again as it makes contact with the ball - and the player is free to select the direction they wish to hit the ball towards and the golf club used.
Namco Classic is different in that the player can customize their own golfer character, or choose from a selection of odd-looking pre-generated characters, including a robot.
