All Die Siedler/The Settler WHDLoad versions v1.5 should be removed from the database. The Keyboard doesn't work properly there and it's pointless then. It was fixed in slave v1.6.
@thevoice Right -Actually, this brings up another issue. I am not sure whether Die Siedler should have it's own entry, or if should be merged with The Settlers. There are arguments both for and against, .. If it has a separate entry, it can easily have a separate (German) cover, title screen, etc.
This is what I say. For WHDLoad the recommended machine is the A1200. But I agree with you, that the A600 is easier to emulate. We now must find a compromise to hit this problem.
How strong must be a host machine to emulate a A1200 cycle exact? So can we set minimal system requirements for WHDLoad emulation?
For the WHDLoad version: While the slave specifies that it only requires 1 MB chip memory and some more expanded memory, it fails with a message about too little memory "on preload for examine object". Increasing chip memory fixes this. But still, with the A600 there are some bug / flickering in the intro. This is problem is not present when running under A1200.
just to mention. all floppy adf variants are the same fairlight crack.
