is globally set. i think this is what prevents the qtx crack from changing the disk. since one have to press fire after diskchange.
edit: yes that is the problem. so we need a joystick enabled at least till after the disk change.

@thevoice Great, exactly the sort of thing variant_notice is for
ADF, cr QTX
requires just 1 drive, with 2 drives enabled the game wont recognize the diskchange at all.
when screen flashes eject disk 1 and insert disk 2 and press firebutton on joystick. added this as variant notice also
