It was a quick mock-up, but I agree it was a bit heavy. Was going for an old school Amiga box design akin to the Kixx re-releases. Nexusle design is great so as there is no need for common design I will leave the cover design to people more versed in Photoshop than me! :O)

Hi, I agree that FS and FS-UAE must not be mentioned! I also think your version (thundercato) was a bit "heavy", and a lighter common design would be better. Perhaps something like a Xbox 360 / Wii / Games for Windows DVD cover, where there's a comon area along the top with a simple design (a simple common design probably suits more covers). Anyway there's no requirement to have a common design, just an idea.

Ok. Not a bad idea! But I think, you cover is a bit too high. I could provide you my source image and you could build a "better" image of your design. Simply send an email to nexusle (at) me (dot) com. I'll send you my file back.

Yea, I liked your version a lot. The only reason I did a version was to try and have some common look with custom covers. I was thinking if we got a design everyone liked we could just upload the photoshop layer and then everyone can use it to quickly make custom boxes, if that makes sense?

Looks cool, but I think the "FS" should not be in this mockup, because Frode have not made this special version.

BTW: have you noticed that I done also a special cover some days before?

Uploaded a quick photoshop mock up of a potential FS-UAE box cover template for games that never got boxes (i.e. unofficial games, CD32 conversions, WHDLoad, shareware etc). What are peoples thoughts?

Yes. I know. It was a little bit late yesterday evening big grin

Yes, this is the "special" game entry wink

Posted by thundercato at 2013-01-08 19:02:19:

@Frode I was thinking the same about a common design for unreleased game. Once my son gets of my iMac I'll fire up photoshop and have a muck around.

Posted by nexusle at 2013-01-08 18:55:01:

Or should we use this one?

Posted by nexusle at 2013-01-08 18:54:41:

Cover is done. Waiting for the special game entry.

I don't really like to add variants to CD32 game entries which does not actually use the CD32 model. And this was really released for Amiga, just not officially. I think a custom cover would be great! (Perhaps such custom covers should/could contain a common design element "Unofficial Release" (or something), like a label in the corner).

I could create a cover like "Pirates! Gold WHDLoad" and "Defender of the Crown II WHDLoad". What did you say?

Posted by thundercato at 2013-01-08 15:09:42:

TODO: I think that given this game was not released offically outside of the CD32 game 'The Big 6', that it would be more logical to have this added to said CD32 game?

Posted by thundercato at 2012-12-24 00:08:17:

The CD32 cover is very confusing - Agreed. I've played through the CD32 version for about an hour and it is graphically better than the the original version. It uses a CD audio track around 27:40 long, so I don't know if the AGA version will have music?

Posted by FrodeSolheim at 2012-12-23 15:13:24:

OK, presumingly, the ADF AGA variant in TOSEC is a CD32 rip then (will boot it later and check if it says anything about that). The CD32 cover may be still be a bit confusing, perhaps we'll just use the normal Amiga one instead...

According to this link http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=29547 forum member "delz" states that this was part of "The Big 6" CD32 game. He is an ex-codemasters employee and states the game just uses the Megadrive graphics, but it better. So I am uploading "The Big Six" box art and will play through the game to grab some screenshots tonight.
