| __long_description | Prolific Japanese computer game developer ASCII created the Best Play Pro Yakyuu series (yakyuu simply means baseball) to allow players to set up their own team and manage it through various leagues and tournaments against other teams. The player can choose to manage as many teams as they wish, even letting the CPU take over for the actual baseball games.
Though a long-running series on Japanese home computers, Best Play Pro Yakyuu is the first time the series had been released on a console. It would be followed up by sequels, and also by an enhanced data pack edition that would be released a few months after the original. |
